McKinley Transitions Therapy of Atlanta

Judy McKinley, LPC provides counseling and psychotherapy for older adolescents, adults, and seniors in metro Atlanta. Her clinical specialties include: Boundary Issues, Life Change Coaching, PTSD/Trauma, Communication Skills, Relationship Issues, Stepfamilies, Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorders, ADHD, Grief Resolution, Abuse Survivors, Life Balance, and Personal Enrichment.


Judy McKinley has worked in mental health for 16 years in such settings as inpatient hospitalization, telephone crisis hotline, community outpatient services, behavioral health treatment facility, and in a private psychotherapy group practice since 2007.  She opened McKinley Transitions Therapy in August 2012.  She specializes in helping clients navigate through life transitions. 

She holds a B.A degree in Psychology from DePauw University in Indiana, and an M.Ed. degree in Counseling from Georgia State University in Atlanta.  She is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia and is a registered Amen Method Professional.

Judy's Story

Judy is a sister, a daughter, mother of two, stepmother of one,  grandmother of four, an avid reader, dog lover, fan of travel and terminally curious.  When she isn't working with a McKinley Transitions Therapy client or participating in professional development, you'll find Judy gardening, exploring local parks with her dogs Kiran and Caroline, or spending time with her family.
